Blue Blade Steel Achieves ISO/TS 16949 Certification

Premier steel hardening and tempering mill Blue Blade Steel achieves quality management system ISO/TS 16949 certification to better serve automotive and traditional customers.

November 24, 2015 – Kenilworth, NJ

On October 15th, 2015, Blue Blade Steel, a premier steel hardening and tempering mill in the United States, received official documentation confirming their Quality Management System (QMS) ISO/TS 16949 certification. The new certification positions the company to better serve automotive customers, which require the TS certification, while improving service overall for all of their steel customers.

Proud of its achievement, Blue Blade Steel’s commitment to quality is reflected in the new ‘measurables’ that have been established for the TS quality system.  Customers are recognizing tighter hardness standard deviation control from temper lines, improved flatness and shape as well as an on time performance for first half 2015 that averaged over 97% on time for all customers.  With the company’s latest ISO/TS 16949 achievement, it is poised to better serve both its traditional customers as well as automotive customers which require TS certification.
