Compact, Oscillated-Wound Steel Coils Offer Greater Economy,
Production Efficiencies
Kenilworth, NJ: Supply chain efficiencies and lean manufacturing
objectives can be met in part by switching from flat ribbon-wound steel
coils to compact layered oscillated coils offered by Blue Blade Steel
Company.
The distinctive coil-winding pattern neatly lays successive laps of
steel in layers built up over themselves to create a dense and compact
coil that replaces up to 25 ribbon-wound coils. Coils can be supplied in
various traversed widths as a coreless bundle or with a cardboard core.
A single oscillating coil can service production for an entire day,
eliminating multiple start and stop setups, splicing operations and
changeover scrap waste. The smooth-feeding oscillated coil decreases
start and stop pressures - resulting in greater tool life.
